TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of this platform, operated by Headphone Commute ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

What this platform does

This platform allows artists and labels to distribute single-use Bandcamp download codes to their audience via secret links. Visitors may claim one code per release. Some releases are restricted to verified Patreon members.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this platform. By claiming a code, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm you have your parent or guardian's permission.

Claiming codes

• Each download code may be claimed once per release, per visitor. Duplicate claim attempts are blocked.
• Codes are provided as-is and are subject to availability. We do not guarantee a code will be available when you visit.
• Codes are non-transferable and have no monetary value. They may not be resold, auctioned, or exchanged.
• Once a code is claimed, it cannot be returned or exchanged.
• We are not responsible for codes that are expired, invalid, or have already been redeemed on Bandcamp.

Patreon-gated releases

Some releases require an active Patreon membership at a specified tier or above. To claim such a release, you must authenticate via Patreon OAuth. We verify your Headphone Community membership status and entitled tier during verification, cache that verification for up to 24 hours to reduce repeat prompts, and do not store your Patreon access token. If your membership lapses or you are at a lower tier than required, you will not be able to claim a code.

Patreon membership fees and tier management are entirely between you and Patreon. We are not responsible for any changes Patreon makes to your account or membership status.

Replenish notifications

If you sign up to be notified when a sold-out release is restocked, you consent to receive a single email notification for that release. You may withdraw your registration at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to claim more codes than you are entitled to, including through automated means, proxies, or multiple accounts.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise interfere with the platform.
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.

We reserve the right to block access to any visitor who we reasonably believe is abusing the platform.

Artist and label accounts

If you hold an artist or label account on this platform, you additionally agree to:

• Only upload codes you are authorised to distribute.
• Ensure the codes you upload are valid and have not already been redeemed.
• Not use the platform to distribute codes for content you do not own or have rights to.

We reserve the right to suspend or remove any account that violates these Terms.

Intellectual property

The music and associated content accessed via Bandcamp download codes remain the property of the respective artists and labels. This platform makes no claim to any such content. The platform software and design are owned by Headphone Commute.

Disclaimer of warranties

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that codes will always be available or valid.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Headphone Commute shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the platform — including but not limited to loss of access to a download code.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
